Reconciliation Queensland Inc. (RQI) held a powerful mandate: to lead the state’s journey toward truth-telling and unity. However, their digital presence was a static archive rather than a living movement. They faced a common non-profit hurdle—an over-reliance on irregular grants and a membership base that felt disconnected from the daily pulse of the organization. They needed a way to turn "supporters" into "investors" in the movement.
The Insight: Reconciliation is a Journey, Not a Destination
When RQI approached our studio, we didn't just see a website project; we saw a movement-building opportunity. We recognized that for RQI to be truly self-sustaining, they needed a digital ecosystem that mirrored the reconciliation journey itself: moving a visitor from Awareness (the website) to Education (the resources) and finally to Commitment (the membership).
The Transformation: From Charity to Sustainability
We architected a three-pillar solution designed to capture the heart and the head:
The Digital Sanctuary: We rebuilt rqi.org.au as a high-authority hub. It’s no longer just a site; it’s a modern, accessible "yarning circle" where truth-telling and education are at the forefront.
The Engine of Growth: We didn't just "add a checkout." We designed a sophisticated Financial Strategy & Sales Funnel. By implementing a tiered membership system, we gave every Queenslander a way to contribute—from free entry-level education to high-impact corporate partnerships.
The Value Proposition: We helped RQI articulate why someone should join. By integrating gated content, exclusive podcasts, and regional networking tools, we turned "membership" from a donation into a valuable, ongoing relationship.
The Result
RQI now possesses a self-optimizing engine. The funnel we built works while they sleep—nurturing leads, processing renewals, and freeing the leadership team to focus on what matters most: The People. We didn't just give them a website; we gave them the digital autonomy to fund their own future.
